Day one Roc-A-Fella Records fans have had a lot to celebrate the past few months with the return of hip hop super group, State Property. The SP roster consisted of Philadelphia’s finest emcees led by Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Peedi Crackk, Oschino, Omillio Sparks and the Young Gunz (Young Chris and Neef Buck). In the early 2000’s SP dropped two classic albums, released multiple hood classic State Property films and even branched out into clothing as a subsidiary brand of Rocawear; add in the fact that each member of the group had successful solo careers, there’s no debate that the Philly emcees had a choke hold on the industry. With all that being said, the movement came to a sudden halt with the dismantling of Roc-A-Fella records in the mid 2000’s, and it was uncertain what would happen to the artists that did not make the transition to Roc Nation. Mixed in with inner conflict amongst group members, it seemed as though State Property was over.
However, as time went on, more and more SP mixtapes and loosies began surfacing on the internet, and after roughly eight years since the release of The Return Of State Property mixtape, The hip hop power house (Beanie, Freeway, Peedi & Yougn Gunz) has reunited once again on the "Now Or Never Tour" which kicked off earlier in November and runs through until January 19. To celebrate the success of the reunion tour, Peedi Crakk, Freeway, and Young Chris have just release the State Property “2k18 Freestyle.” With the rumors of a Chain Gang Vol.3 dropping sometime in 2019, this Freestyle is hopefully just the beginning of new SP music.
